Come meet other climbers and take part in exciting challenges & weekly themes!
WHAT: A semi-competitive (but not really) 6-week league where teams of two climbers get points for completing routes. The Adult Climbing League is designed to improve your climbing skills and engage in friendly competition with your fellow climbers while building community.
WHO: (Almost) anyone! This league is open to climbers 18 and up. Find a partner or sign-up on your own and get paired with a new friend!
The maximum number of participants is 60 people (30 teams). Single person sign-ups will be closed one week prior (9/11) to the league start.
WHEN: Wednesdays or Fridays from September 18th-October 25th. Teams can choose to climb on either Wednesday or Friday of any given week, but can only count points for one day each week (try and come the same day as your partner). We will take the top 5 team scores each week, this can be any combination of scores between teammates that adds up to a total of 5 scores.
HOW: During league nights climbers will earn points for the routes they send and compete for fun, bragging rights, and a chance to be entered in the final prize drawing. We will use a handicap system to create a competitive, yet fair environment for all climbers regardless of experience level. Each climber will determine their starting division based on the highest graded routes that they can comfortably "send" (reach the top of the route without falling).
See booking page for more information regarding Adult League and prizes.
$$: The entry fee is only $10/person for current Roca members, which will go towards the final prize!
League participation/entry fee does not include climbing day pass or rentals for those without a membership.

Rules
Adult Climbing League runs for 6 weeks on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
You can choose to climb on either Wednesday or Friday each week, but you may not climb on both.
Teams will be given scorecards at the beginning of each league night.
In order for your score to be recorded, you must return your scorecard to Roca staff by the end of each league night.
Only one scorecard can be submitted per team each week. You may climb by yourself on a week if your partner cannot make it, but you may not climb on different nights of the week.
You are responsible for keeping track of your points earned throughout the night. You may only count a route as completed if you “send” the route.
Remember, to count as a "send", you cannot fall or weight the rope (take) during the climb. If you fall and still complete the route, you can earn half the available points.
The top 5 scores per team each week will be counted towards your total points.
Each route can only count once per night (unless specified for challenges), but you may repeat routes from week to week.
We reserve the right to bump any climbers up to a higher division if we feel they have placed themselves too low. An individual will automatically be bumped if they score two 25 point routes in a night OR three total 25 point routes throughout league (It should be extremely difficult for you to score 25 points on a route without a lot of practice).
Top 5 out of 6 weeks will be counted, so it's no problem if you miss a week!
League participation/entry fee does not include climbing day pass or rentals.
